The last few weeks I've been spending a lot of time pointing my lens in a different direction than usual... About two months ago I got connected with a fabulous project called CRAVE: the Urban Girl's Manifesto, a book which celebrates the amazing entrepreneuresses behind the coolest women-owned businesses in your city, and I've been photographing lots of these amazing ladies and their wares for ever since. Check it out! http://thecravecompany.com/minneapolis/
The Minneapolis/St. Paul edition comes out in May! To purchase your copy, along with awesome discounts from many of the vendors--including Maya K. Photography, of course!--just let me know…
Anyway, so I've been meeting all these fabulous women, and have been trying to find the time to tell you all about them, and my lunch today inspired me to start with my most recent shoot, True Thai on East Franklin Ave. in Minneapolis. I left there after our shoot with enough food to eat for a week, and boy has it been a good week!!! Now, they have won all kinds of awards, and I am not a foodie or a gourmet by anyone's definition, but I do love Thai food, and this is for sure the best I've ever had--fresh, fresh, fresh and not even expensive! You must go and try… truethairestaurant.com
*I believe this is their new yellow curry with squash--which I didn't even know that Thailand had squash, but I am a big fan! It is soooo good!
(Meet Anna, the brains behind the operation!)
(And you've gotta love all the Buddhas!)
