Today I have some favorite portrait shots from a family session last week--mom, dad, two teenage girls, and an incredible backyard with honest-to-goodness woods AND one of my favorite things in the whole world for a backdrop: tall weeds!!! I was so excited--I have been keeping my eyes peeled everywhere I go in the Twin Cities for tall, golden weeds in any spot more private than the ditch between the highways, and now I know where they've all been hiding, cuz this neighborhood was a goldmine. And the girls didn't even mind standing in the slightly questionable ankle-deep water to get a good shot! They were very good sports, and so cute, too--it was really hard to choose just a few…
If I was the mom of this family, I would want the smiley closeup of the two girls - - AND the one of the mom and dad - - those were really really great pictures (in my unbiased and unprofessional eye).
